Rob Butler joined The Railway Engineering Company in April 2007 and was appointed Managing Director in April 2008. He was previously Director of Operations for Wallop Defence Systems Ltd. He also attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and served seven years as an Army Officer within the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
Harry Ryland is well known throughout the rail industry as a technical expert in the design of railway signalling systems (such as SSI and IECC). Prior to the setting up of TRE Harry was Head of Research at Westinghouse Rail Systems. He has been heavily involved in a number of UK and European standardisation initiatives.
Mark Tremlett has a wide experience of the development of software systems for railway signalling application and has played a leading role in the production of advanced configuration systems for a number of interlocking and control centre products.
Tim has worked in the rail industry since 1999 following periods in the power generation and civil aviation markets. Initially trained via a technical apprenticeship with the aircraft group Cobham Plc, he simultaneously studied Electronics to HND level. His rail industry experience includes working for companies involved in the remote monitoring of both relay and SSI interlockings, sensors for providing advance warning of ofİpoints failure and also health monitoring of bridges and the wheel-rail interface.
