Profile

We are looking for people who have:

  • The ability to work well in a compact team with other professionals in the field of railway control and supervision.
  • An interest in rail transport (an enthusiasm is even better).
  • The ability to interface to other engineers, suppliers and our customers in an enquiring and understanding manner.
  • Good knowledge of using computer operating systems (such as Windows NT).
  • A keen alert brain interested in learning and developing their career through learning from others and trying new and innovative ways of doing things in our exciting working environment.

Knowledge and/or experience in railway signalling is NOT a pre-requisite but it may well be an advantage.

Role Development

In the longer term there is considerable opportunity for further role development - dependent on aptitude and motivation. Both formal and on the job training and support will be given to the successful candidate. Reward Package TRE operates a progressive policy of continuous review to maintain our reward package in the uppermost national quartile for the task in hand. After 3 months of service we offer a contributory company pension scheme (min. 3% of salary contribution, 5% from TRE) and a variety of other benefits depending on level of seniority.

We offer 25 days annual leave per annum and a sick pay scheme (subject to certain initial conditions).
